about ayzoh

My brand name is Ayzoh, which is an an Amharic word (one of the languages spoken in Ethiopia). I have worked with charities in Ethiopia and I love the way this word is used. It means ‘everything will be ok’. It is said to comfort people in emotional or physical pain and the way it is given and received is really special. Nothing in English compares for me.

The starfish logo is inspired by my love of the ‘Starfish story’ (Loren Eisley)… to me it symbolises the impact you can have on one person even if you can’t help everyone. ‘it matters to this one’. It was designed by my friend Sala (who I did my yoga teacher training with) and it is really special to me.

about me

My name is Flo and I started yoga in May 2019 as a beginner aged 40 with a 10 day yoga challenge on Instagram. My 10 day challenge morphed into a year and I’m still going with my daily yoga practise. Yoga has changed my life.

Essentially I fell in love with yoga and before the end of the year I qualified as a teacher. I completed my 200 hour power Vinyasa yoga training with Dylan Ayaloo in Sri Lanka in Feb 2020. My style of teaching is Vinyasa but I wouldn’t label it any way other than that.

I LOVE teaching yoga and I teach various styles of yoga to people of all ages and abilities.

Yoga changed my life so much a sabbatical has become a permanent life change and I’ve been in Central America for over a year now, teaching yoga, learning about sound ceremonies, living off grid in the jungle and offering massage and reiki energy healing.  I’ve been inspired in so many ways I never imagined after having some space to think.

Yoga is for everyone. I truly believe this.

Pranayama (breath control) is fundamental in my own practise and as such my classes start with grounding and breath work. I also completed Yoga Nidra (meditation) training and incorporate this into my classes.

Since I’ve been away my creative juices have been flowing, from learning to crochet and play the Ukelele to creative writing…
